Along with the entire global community, we at Trusted Translations have been monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak very closely. As one of the main language providers to the Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC over the past 5 years, we have first-hand experience assisting government agencies in their responses to various outbreaks, including Ebola and the current COVID-19. Being part of the “first-responder” teams by translating materials regarding these outbreaks, we are very aware of how important preventive measures and containment efforts are in halting the spread of these diseases.
In response to this rapidly evolving situation, and after careful consideration of all options available to us, the Trusted Translations Management Team has implemented a focused business continuity plan (BCP) that will ensure the continued safety and productivity of our elite language services teams while being able to deliver critical translations to both its private and government clients.
First, we would like to assure all of our customers that we will remain open for business 24/7/365 to ensure the translation of important health information for the global community and to serve new and existing clients.
Second, we have laid out the following preventive measures that are already in place:
– Teleworking for Trusted Translations team members, connected via secure servers;
– Cancellation of all planned business travel;
– A longer self-quarantine of any employee who has lately traveled to an area of high risk;
– Encouragement of social distancing no matter where;
– An emergency staff that will only be allowed to visit the office to help sustain our BCP.
By taking these measures, Trusted Translations will remain available to handle your language services needs, and to answer any questions you may have. We are committed to transparency in our communications, and we pledge to keep you informed and up-to-date on all new developments in our provision of services.
We will continue to review and revise our response, informed by professional guidance from health authorities as well as successful measures being taken by other companies, to try to mitigate the spread of the infection.
Above all, we strive to act conscientiously and responsibly to keep our employees, linguists and others safe. We are proud to be part of the global health community, helping to distribute accurate information about this outbreak.
We wish all of you good health.
